THE ORGANIC JOURNEY
Certified Organic Excellence
At Roxmont, our strawberries are grown in Beverly, MA using organic, no-till methods designed to strengthen soil biology and produce exceptional fruit. We focus on long-term soil health so plants can develop naturally; without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides.
ORGANIC GROWING
For us, growing organically isn't just a regulatory checkbox we're trying to check: it's the foundational blueprint of our entire farm. We believer that nature already perfected the strawberry; our job is to just get out of the way.
We never use pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or synthetic fertilizers. Instead, we rely on natural predatory insects to manage pests, hand-weeding, and rich nutrient-dense natural fertilizers to feed our crops. It takes a lot more sweat and long days in the field, but it means you can eat a Roxmont strawberry straight from the vine with absolute peace of mind.

NO-TILL LIVING SOIL
Traditional farming relies heavily on tilling - regularly churning and flipping the soil with heavy machinery. While this makes things easy for tractors, it violently disturbs the complex ecosystem living underground. It crushes beneficial earthworms, destroys networks of healthy fungi, and releases trapped carbon back into the atmosphere.
At Roxmont, we use a sustainable no-till production method built around a permanent bed system. By leaving the soil undisturbed season after season, we allow a vibrant, microscopic ecosystem to thrive beneath the surface. This allows our strawberries to develop deeper flavors, have greater natural pest and disease resistance, and greater moisture retention.

SETTING OURSELVES APART
A Longer Strawberry Season,
By Design
Ever wonder why you can't find fresh locally grown strawberries outside the month of June? Most local strawberry growers follow a short, fixed window, with one big flush of berries in June. We're changing the game. Our day-neutral varieties are grown to produce steadily from June through October.
100% greater yields than traditional growers
Traditional growers using June-Bearing strawberries typically produce 6,000 - 10,000 lbs of strawberries per acre. Our Day-Neutral strawberries and extended harvest season allow us to double the yield of traditional growers; producing as much as 20,000 lbs per acre from June through October.

THE PLASTIC FREE PROMISE
No Single-Use Plastics: Ever.

SUSTAINABLE MULCHING
The US agriculture industry alone uses over 126 million pounds of plastic mulch each year. These plastic mulches are not recyclable and instead are thrown out at the end of each season contributing to a massive problem for landfills - over 1 million tons of plastic garbage every year.
At Roxmont, we only use woven landscape fabric as our bed mulch and reuse it after every season. This allows us to minimize weeds in an environmentally sustainable way.
PLASTIC-FREE PACKAGING
It never made sense to us to spend months using pure, natural methods to grow a beautiful organic berry, only to drop it into a cheap, single-use plastic clamshell container that will sit in a landfill for 500 years.
Instead, every single pint and flat of berries that leaves our fields is cradled in packaging that is 100% recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable. Made from entirely natural, renewable plant fibers, our packaging safely returns to the earth without leaving a trace.
When you're done enjoying our delicious berries, you can toss our containers straight into your backyard compost bin or your recycling cart. It costs us a little more, but keeping plastic off the North Shore is worth every penny.
