Our Organic and No-Till Growing System.
Roxmont strawberries are grown in BEVERLY, MA USING organic, no-till methods THAT PRIORITIZE soil health, plant balance, and exceptional fruit FLAVOR.
HOW WE GROW
Sustainable Farming Practices
At Roxmont, our strawberries are grown in Beverly, MA using organic, no-till methods designed to strengthen soil biology and produce exceptional fruit. We focus on long-term soil health so plants can develop naturally; without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides.
ORGANIC GROWING
We farm using 100% organic practices that prioritize soil biology and long-term fertility. By avoiding synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, we support healthier plants and a more resilient growing environment. Our focus is on building living soil that nourishes the crop naturally throughout the season.

NO-TILL LIVING SOIL
Instead of routinely turning the soil, we practice no-till farming to protect soil structure and microbial life. Keeping the ground covered and undisturbed helps retain moisture, reduce erosion, and improve soil health year after year. Healthier soil leads to stronger plants and better fruit.

SETTING OURSELVES APART
A Longer Strawberry Season,
By Design
Ever wonder why you can't find fresh locally grown strawberries outside the month of June? Most local strawberry growers follow a short, fixed window, with one big flush of berries in June. We're changing the game. Our day-neutral varieties are grown to produce steadily from June through October.
Extended Harvest Season
Utilizing day-neutral varieties of strawberries allows us to extend the season 3x larger than the traditional grower. Providing our community with fresh and delicious strawberries through Halloween!

Leads to a Harvest That Builds
Extending the harvest window allows us to produce more fruit per acre than traditional June-bearing systems. Instead of one short peak followed by a sharp drop-off, our yields build gradually through the summer and reach their strongest point later in the season — when demand is still high.
Higher Yield Per Acre
We plant intensively; up to 26,000 plants per acre. Each of our plants produces 1 lb of strawberries - that's 26,000 lbs over the course of the season!

FROM FIELD TO HARVEST
Care and Attention at Every Stage
From planting through harvest, we monitor conditions closely and adjust as the field requires. This allows us to grow strawberries that are consistent, resilient, and harvested at their best.

HARVEST TIMING & SELECTIVITY
We harvest strawberries only when they reach peak ripeness. Each picking is selective and deliberate, guided by plant condition, weather, and flavor development. By avoiding early harvests and overhandling, we protect texture, sweetness, and shelf life naturally.
RESPONSIVE FARMING
We track soil moisture to guide irrigation and use plant tissue sampling to monitor nutrient balance throughout the season. Combined with daily field observation, this measured and data-driven approach help us respond accurately, support plant health, and maintain consistent fruit quality.
